Good books nourish my soul and lead me into new ways of being. I love that.
As we sift through life, we find the beauty, the joy, the nourishment. What we may initially miss, we discover if we look intently. What’s been life-giving to you recently?
I’ve been intentionally asking this question a lot recently: “What’s mine to do?” I’m asking that each morning as I consider my plans for the day. I’m asking that when I interact with people. I’m asking that with bigger life decisions.
Happy Lunar New Year! We honor and celebrate the strength and resilience of the global Asian community. Our Asian American community has been working hard to be heard, to be seen, and to raise our voices to protect our loved ones. May we celebrate our rich history, culture, beauty, traditions and delicious food together. #AsianJoy is resistance and protest in the face of bigotry, prejudice, and hate. Let us come together and be filled with healing and love. Kung Hee Fat Choy! Xin Nian Kuai Le! 🧧🐂🎇
There is a deficit of empathy in our world. But we can change that. We can teach our kids empathy. We can develop our own empathy. What if we honored and valued each person, holding space for their experiences, and listened and learned from one another? What if we made room in our lives to welcome differences, without the need to control or judge others? What if we let go of fear, and embraced each other with compassion, empathy, and love? That would be a world changing revolution.
Happy Monday! I’m working on finding a therapist, paying bills, folding laundry, and caring for my little tribe. And all the while, trying to move through the day with peace, gratitude, and love. What are you doing today?
