I grew up eating tofu, sometimes simply plain or with a dash of soy sauce. My three-year-old son happens to also love tofu straight from the container. I think it’s just built into our Chinese DNA. But tofu doesn’t have to be bland and boring. It can be fixed all sorts of ways, and gives an added kick of low-fat, vegetarian-friendly protein to any dish.
This turkey and tofu dish is my alternative to the more common Hawaiian-Asian comfort food pork tofu. With the lower-fat turkey, it is healthier and high in protein. This simple, quick dish is filled with flavor, and makes a great dinner when served over rice or with a side of noodles.
