I’m so excited about my new wood working project! This gorgeous live-edge monkeypod round was salvaged locally on the island. Monkeypod trees are found all around Hawaii, and provided shade and beauty throughout my childhood. When I found this piece at Kalama Hardwoods (mahalo, @kalamahardwoods ❤️), I knew it was the one! It’ll be transformed into a coffee table, and I hope I can do it justice.

I ❤️ Hana Tonic @hanatonic, and found them stocked in Island Country Markets @islandcountrymarkets in Ko Olina! These organic liquid shots calm nausea and give you a good power boost with a zing of ginger and hint of cayenne. YUM. Bonus: they were created by a fellow Maui girl. Support local businesses! 🌺🌈🏝

With each passing year, my love and gratitude for my mother grows. Especially now that I have children of my own. My mom has loved her children through the tiring toddler years and tumultuous teens. And now we’re adults, but there’s still nothing as comforting as talking to Mom. Thank you for all the love, sacrifice, and grace, Mom. I ❤️ you a whole lot. Happy Mother’s Day!

My new hobby: boxing a heavy bag in the garage. I needed a way to exercise, do cardio, release stress, and work out my anger. Hitting something seemed like the perfect fit. I got the pink gloves because punching and fighting “like a girl” is not an insult.
